On 6th April 2025, at Anew in Chennai, a session was conducted by Ms. Kalyananthy on the topic “The Need for Girls to Stay Away from Toxic Relationships.” A total of 22 students participated in the class, which focused on helping them understand and identify toxic relationships and their impact on mental and emotional well-being. The trainer stressed the importance of self-worth and confidence as key tools to avoid harmful dynamics.
The session also introduced the students to government welfare schemes for widows and destitute women, highlighting that Tamil Nadu is the first state in the country to establish a Widow Welfare Board. Awareness was also created around the One Stop Centre and the national women’s helpline 181, which offers emergency support to women in distress.
In the motivational segment titled “Living is an Art,” the trainer emphasized the importance of emotional intelligence and a positive mindset in navigating life. By sharing her own personal journey, Ms. Kalyananthy was able to connect deeply with the students and encourage them to stay committed to their goals. She also introduced the SQ3R method—Syllabus, Question, Revise, Reason, Review—as a useful study technique for preparing for competitive exams.
