For the Virudhachalam students, another session on the same day was conducted at Danish Mission Middle School in Virudhachalam by Mrs. Benita Prince, the Boarding Manager. With 18 students in attendance, the session focused on “Confidence – Assertiveness and Challenges Faced by Women.” The trainer opened the session by sharing her own life story, which included both personal and professional experiences. Her journey served as a powerful example of resilience, self-belief, and the importance of determination.
The session focused on building self-confidence in young girls and encouraged them to speak up, take initiative, and believe in their own capabilities. The trainer explained the difference between being assertive and aggressive, guiding the students on how to express themselves clearly while maintaining respect for others.
Mrs. Benita also addressed the everyday challenges women face in society and at the workplace, including gender bias, safety concerns, and the struggle to maintain work-life balance. She concluded the session by offering practical suggestions to overcome these challenges with courage, clarity, and resilience.
Both sessions reflected Sisterhood Foundation’s commitment to creating safe, supportive, and empowering spaces for young girls. By combining real-life stories, awareness of rights, and actionable tools, we strive to nurture a generation of confident, informed, and emotionally strong women ready to lead the way forward.
