Leadership Program Selection Process 2024
The Sisterhood Foundation conducted a rigorous selection process in Chennai and Virudhachalam to identify eligible college students for its leadership program and scholarship support for the academic year 2024.
The process emphasized academic performance, critical thinking, and awareness of women’s empowerment, culminating in the selection of 30 students—15 from Chennai and 15 from Virudhachalam—who will receive ₹5000 annually to scholarship.
In Chennai, 130 applicants participated in a three-stage selection process starting on October 5, 2024, overseen by jury members from Aram Porul. The initial round required a minimum of 60% in 12th-grade or semester exams, advancing 95 students to the next stage. An essay on women empowerment further shortlisted 70 candidates, and
interviews focused on women’s leadership finalized the selection of 15 outstanding
students.
In Virudhachalam, 120 applicants gathered on September 29, 2024, at CSM College of Arts and Science for the selection process, which was overseen by jury members from Aram Porul, the Education Department, and the college faculty. Following a rigorous three-stage process, 90 students advanced from the academic screening, and 50 were
shortlisted after the essay round. The interviews focused on the students’ perspectives on women’s societal roles, culminating in the final selection of 15 deserving candidates.

During the event, the selected students were warmly welcomed with a kit and a letter recognizing their
